Precision Guidance

How to Measure

Take accurate measurements following our atelier guidelines below for a silhouette that flatters naturally.

01

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the measuring tape comfortably snug and horizontal across your back.

Atelier Tip: Wear the non-padded undergarment or bra you plan to wear under your outfit for best fit.
02

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, usually about 1 to 2 inches above your belly button where your torso creases when bending.

Atelier Tip: Don't hold your breath or pull the tape too tight—leave room for effortless breathing and movement.
03

Hip

Stand with feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips and seat.

Atelier Tip: Ensure the tape is level all the way around.
04

Shoulder to Shoulder

Measure across your back from the tip of one shoulder bone across to the tip of the other.

Atelier Tip: Best measured with assistance to keep your arms naturally relaxed at your sides.
05

Sleeve Length

Measure from the edge of your shoulder bone down your arm to your desired sleeve length (elbow, 3/4th, or wrist).

Atelier Tip: Keep your arm slightly relaxed, not rigidly straight.
06

Garment / Dress Length

Measure vertically from the highest point of your shoulder, over the bust point, down to where you want the hem to fall.

Atelier Tip: Factor in the height of the heels or flats you intend to style with the outfit.

A Note on Custom Stitching

For custom stitching and bridal commissions, measurements should preferably be taken with assistance or during a scheduled virtual consultation with our atelier team. This ensures true drape accuracy.
